Willie Nelson tours the U.S.

Willie Hugh Nelson, or just Willie Nelson, as everyone knows him, is one of the most interesting characters in the American music scene. Hell, he even has two birthdays! Namely, he thought he was born on April 30, 1933, but late in his life, a relative told him that it actually happened just before midnight on the 29th and that the doctor hadn’t recorded his time of birth properly. Ever since, Willie Nelson celebrates both days. How convenient.

He’s very vocal about simplicity in the studio. “Get in there. Sing the song. Get out,” he wrote in his memoir. “My kind of singing isn’t meant to be perfect. It’s meant to reflect the imperfections of a human being like me.” And it’s not perfect, not by far, but when Willie sing, people are silent. He is just that good.

Willie Nelson is an American musician, singer, songwriter, author, poet, actor, and activist. He is one of the most prominent musicians in the so-called “outlaw country” subgenre of country music, alongside Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard and Steve Earle.

Willie Nelson recorded over 60 studio albums and the latest one is “God’s Problem Child”, released on April 28th, 2017.

Despite his age (he is 84, by the way), this man shows no signs of fatigue.

On the contrary. He recently started another tour. It’s a U.S. tour, but still! It started on June 2nd, and will last until September 17th. So, if you’re planning a trip to America, maybe now would be a good time to do it and to see one of the remaining living legends.
