Is This Really The End For Ozzy?

Brace yourselves. A couple of more concerts and it’s over.
Done. Finito. “Black Sabbath” will be no more. After almost fifty years, one of the greatest heavy-metal bands (arguably the first AND the greatest) is pulling the plug. And they are doing it after the incredible 2016 tour.

We can only mourn this decision. What legacy they are leaving! There is a lengthy list of bands which were influenced by the old masters of the trade. But is this the end, seriously? Well, according to Geezer Butler, it certainly seems so: “It is one hundred percent the end. We’ve all agreed that this is it.” But there are silver linings in all of this. Ozzy is planning to remain alive and kicking: “It’s not me that want to retire; it’s Black Sabbath. I’ll be continuing my own musical thing.” And if we know that Ozzy’s solo career track record is more than good, we have every right to expect more metal traits from him in days to come. “Black Sabbath” has had significant lineup changes in their history. A lot of them! Some of their most prominent members were Ian Gillan and Ronnie James Dio. But when we say “Black Sabbath”, all of us think of four names only: Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward. “Black Sabbath”. The legends. Catch them while you still can.
