Frasier Grammer Is Listening

Kelsey Grammer turns 62 today.

This American actor, voice actor, comedian, producer, director, writer, singer, and activist is most famous for his brilliant portrayal of a psychiatrist, doctor Frasier Crane in long-lasting and beloved NBC’s sitcom “Frasier“. This TV show had eleven seasons long run and is still considered one of the best sitcoms ever made, and certainly, it is the best spin-off. The show was created as a spin-off of “Cheers”, yet another sitcom, in which Frasier Crane was one of the characters.

“Frasier” is about the eponymous hero’s return to his hometown Seattle, and his efforts to build himself a new life. Besides Grammer, the stars are David Hyde Pierce, John Mahoney, Jane Leeves and Peri Gilpin. The series has won 37 Primetime Emmy Awards, which was a record until “Game of Thrones” won 38 in 2016. As for Kelsey Grammer, he was the first American actor to be nominated for the same character in three different series. “Cheers” and “Frasier” are obvious, but Frasier Crane also got an Emmy nomination for the appearance in “Wings”.

And this is what Kelsey Grammer had to say about Frasier Crane, back in 2015: “Frasier will always hold a special place in my heart. Heâ’s a great character I loved playing and heâ’s still a wonderful part of my life. But he was a lot of work!”

Ever since “Frasier” had ended, fans have had frequent requests for a reunion. Maybe it’s for the best to leave things as they are. “Frasier” had a great run and the show left its mark in television history. Who could ask more than that?
