The Coen Brothers embark on a new project for television

Hold on to your butts: thereâ’s another Coen Brothers project on the horizon. This time itâ’s a project for television (their first in the medium). In collaboration with Annapurna Television, The Ballad of Buster Scruggs is reportedly a complex, multi-narrative Western that may end up as a film, as well. This isnâ’t the first Western the pair have tackled; their period piece True Grit, staring Jeff Bridges, was released in 2010. The siblings are set to write and direct the entirety of Buster Scruggs, although a release date is not yet known.
